Description of Environment
My game is based on the 2012 end of the world roomers. The backstory of the game is that on the 22nd of December 2012 the earth was invaded by a race of aliens and robots. Throughout the game the players will be playing the role of a special operations solder specially developed by NASSA and the government to fight the incoming invasion.
Basic Rules
Throughout the game the player will complete a series of missions. Each of these missions will do one of two things.It will either rescue a group of civilians which will help regroup the human race in an attempt to rebel the alien invasion. Or it will give the player amounts of a very rare mineral not found on earth called Mineral X that can be used to develop new weapons and armor for the player. Throughout the game the player will encounter different scenarios where the player will have to make a choice. Depending on the players decisions during each of these sceneries it will determine if the player survives the alien invasion, and how much of the human race is left after the invasion. There are two different approaches that players can take to complete the game. The player can ether play through the main story and skip all the side missions. If this is the case then the player would have fended off the alien invasion, however he would be the sole survivor of the invasion. Another approach to this would be for the player to complete all mission thus fending off the alien invasion and also saving the human race.

Similar games
A similar game to mine would be the mass effect series, specifically the 3rd game of the series because that is where the game idea was developed from. The two games will carry a similar relationship between decision making and final outcome. However the difference between the games will be that there is less of an emphasis on teamwork to make the game easier. Another big difference between the games is that my game will not have multiple races to play as. Rather it will be a single race with more capability’s and skills then one of the mass effect races.

Camera View: 3rd person RPG

Character: Special solder developed by the government and NASSA to combat the impending alien invasion

Environment: The game takes place in modern day United States during an apocalyptic alien invasion of earth.

Core Game Mechanic: The game Mechanic is going to be a fusion of an FPS with 3rd person RPG camera view. Throughout the game the player will learn new combat skills and gain new weapons.

AI: The AI will control the alien. The aliens will be scattered throughout the main map as well as the Quest Map. As players come into the field of vision of the alien the alien will engage and attack the player.

Physics: The key physics that will be involved be the projectile physics involved in the common FPS game

Audio: Custom audio teamed for an alien invasion

Networking: The will have two modes. A single player mode and a multiplayer co-op mode that lets players team up with friends
