Pitch-requirements



The camera will be in first person mode. There will be other cameras incorporated probably along the way. One such camera will be if you make a bull’s-eye with a sniper weapon, which could end with the camera zooming out of the body and having your character cheering. And also you can rotate the camera around your character to see if there is something around you.

There is not main character, because it is a team game and every player is necessary. There are other people at the town that are survivors, but they are only begging for help. They just just run away when the zombies came.

Survivors is set in a town in Texas, there is a lot of different things at the environment that you are going to use to take cover or use to escape such a car or truck. If I have time I want to add more towns and different objects to use, such as, weird weapons, new classes of characters. Another scene could be at the woods, with no light and the only covers are going to be the trees, so you will need to climb to get your stamina back.

The core game mechanic is the use of the environed objects and the player’s specials abilities. 

In this the AI is very important to make it funny, because if the zombies don’t know where you are, based on the sounds, light and every change in the environment that they can detect, this game is going to be bored. Also I’m thinking in adding an AI player if there is someone in the group that cant not play and like I said before every character is necessary.

There are a lot of factors in this game, such as, lights, sounds, objects, environment changes that are very hard to design and are basics in this kind of game. The changes in the lights are going to be essential to scare the players, because if they see everything every time they will never get scared. The sounds are going to be one of the scariest effects in this game, because with a good sound effect the scene can turn from a funny part to a very scary part. Objects are going to be essentials too, to make this game more fun. Environment changes could be adding fog, or a thunder storm that always help to scare the player.

The audio related to this game would be the mix of silence, a scary melody and screams. The silence make you feel like in a thriller, the scary melody make you pay attention in every single movement in the environment and the screams are going to freak you out.

 

The networking is the multi-player portion that happens online with your friends. You can play with all the players in a story or if there is some player missing you can use the AI option to give him the possibility of join the group after this season.
